REGULATIONS OF THE NAU GRAN EN OBERT MONOGRAPHIC COURSES
The mission of the Servei de Cultura Universitària is to promote and carry out activities for the dissemination and popularisation of knowledge, science and culture, and it is committed to the education of all people at any stage of their lives. One of the parts of its wide educational offer are the monographic courses that deal with subjects related to all areas of knowledge and are characterised by their flexibility in terms of timetables, duration and start and end dates.
The monographic courses are regulated by these rules:
1. Addressees
The Nau Gran en Obert courses are aimed at both students of the Nau Gran itineraries and the general public.
2. Course offerings
Each academic year, two major offers are made:
- In September: annual and first term courses.
- In January: second semester courses.
However, the offer of these courses is flexible and the Servei can offer courses at any time during the academic year.
Course offers will be posted on the Nau Gran website (https://www.uv.es/naugran).
3. Registration
Course enrolment is done through an online self-enrolment application. You will find the link to the application on the website of La Nau Gran (https://www.uv.es/naugran).
All communications with enrolled students will be by e-mail.
Enrolment in the Nau Gran en Obert courses does not entitle the student to an official email address from the University of Valencia, given the punctual and non-binding nature of these courses.
4. Payment
Fees are paid by bank card at the time of enrolment. The fees are approved each year by the Consell Social at the proposal of the Servei de Cultura Universitària.
The status of person enrolled in a course is only acquired with the correct completion of the self-enrolment process and the payment of the corresponding fee.
Listening students are not allowed. The presence in the classrooms of people who are not enrolled or who have not formalised their enrolment is subject to control by means of the mechanisms established for this purpose by the programme management.
5. Refund of tuition fees
You can request a refund of the registration fee up to 30 calendar days after the start of the course, when there is a supervening situation and always with a request accompanied by an official receipt to be sent to the Servei de Cultura Universitària (Centre Cultural La Nau, c/Universitat 2, València) or send it by email to: naugranenobert@uv.es
It shall be considered a supervening situation:
- Illness of the person concerned or of a first-degree relative.
- Any other circumstance that the Servei Management deems appropriate.
Fees cannot be refunded in case of student error.
6. Cancellation of courses
The Servei de Cultura Universitària reserves the right not to run a course if there is not a minimum number of people enrolled. In this case, the cancellation will be communicated by email and the fees will be refunded.
7. Elective credits
The monographic courses complete with free-choice credits the record of the students of the itineraries of La Nau Gran. The minimum attendance requirement for the credits to be awarded is 80% of the total duration of the activity. The attendance sheet must be signed at each of the sessions.
The following equivalence system is used: one credit is equivalent to 10 teaching hours.
8. Authorisation to be photographed and filmed, and for recordings of audiovisual content
By enrolling in a Nau Gran en Obert monographic course, the enrolled person is authorising the use of his/her image and/or voice, as well as being photographed, filmed or recorded for the development of the University of Valencia's own functions in accordance with the Organic Law of Universities and in accordance with its own Statutes and in particular to comply with the teaching purposes and for publications of the Servei de Cultura Universitària (University Culture Service).
