RBUCE-UP is looking for expert evaluators

Universities of Paris.- The PRES UniverSud Paris is looking for potential scientific expert evaluators who are available to commence with peer review evaluations on scientific application in the European project RBUCE-UP. The objective of this project is to recruit 26 international researchers by the following universities: Université Paris-Sud, Université de Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, Université d'Evry-Val-d'Essonne, ENS Cachan, and Ecole Centrale de Paris, through two open calls.
The principle objective of the peer-review evaluation is to select the best science, independent of the applicants’ discipline.
The evaluation of proposals implies strict confidentiality, as applications deal with state-of-the-art research and excellence.
The evaluation will be carried out “at home”. There will be no meetings in France or elsewhere between experts and/or with UniverSud Paris administration. UniverSud Paris expects scientific expert evaluators to assess the applications in all fields in which they have a solid knowledge, but without necessarily being highly specialized in a given subject. The evaluations will take place between April 16th and May 31st, 2012. Each scientific expert evaluator will evaluate a maximum of 7 applications a day, at most 2 days per call.
Compensation for independent expertise, a written report and marks :
- Half day work (up to 3 applications) : around 200€,
- Day work (up to 7 applications) : around 400€.
Note : It is important that candidates have the agreement of their employer to do these evaluations.
