RASA GELGOTIEN

Conductor of Vilnius University Women Choir VIRGO

Rasa Gelgotien studied piano and choral conducting at Vilnius School of Arts. She continued her studies of choral conducting at the Lithuanian Music Academy as well as at St. Petersburg Music Academy.

After 17 years of academic studies, in 1981 she joined Vilnius University Culture Centre where she has been the conductor of two choirs: Women Choir VIRGO and Academic Mixed Choir. Also, she has been giving classes of singing for members of both choirs.
