In January 2002 the journals Fresenius' Journal of Analytical Chemistry, Analusis and Química Analítica have merged to form the journal Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry.

Instrucciones (resumen tomado de la web)

To allow speedy publication manuscripts should be prepared carefully in accordance with the following points.

Electronic submission: Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscript online using the link given on the journal homepage http://link.springer.de/journals/abc/
Manuscripts submitted by regular mail should be accompanied by the electronic version on disk (saved in one file including text and figures), preferably in Word or rtf format. E-mail and fax numbers should be given together with the address.
Manuscripts must be in the English language. With their submission, authors may suggest potential reviewers for their work.
Manuscripts must be accompanied by the Copyright Transfer Statement (the form is regularly published in this journal).
Only new, previously unpublished results given in concise form, will be accepted. Known facts should only be briefly mentioned, with appropriate literature citations.
Every manuscript should be preceded by an abstract and up to six keywords. The abstract should be suitable for direct publication in current awareness publications or information retrieval systems, and should include the main points of the paper.
Citations in the text should be by numbers in square brackets.
References should numbered in the order of appearance in the text.
Examples:
Saito Y, Jinno K (2002) Anal Bioanal Chem 373:325–331
Manz A, Becker H (1999) (eds) Microsystem technology in chemistry and life sciences. Springer, Berlin Heidelberg New York
IUPAC rules must be used for designating chemical compounds. In some fields, e.g. pharmacology, generic or INN names may be used. The use of tradenames alone to identify such compounds as medicines or pesticides is not allowed.
Quantities and units must be designated using SI units whenever possible (e.g. Pa instead of bar). The metric system is to be used. Concentrations should be given exclusively as mass or amount-of-substance concentrations. The use of ppm, ppb, ppt, volume and weight percentages etc. is to be avoided.
Figures and tables. All figures (photographs, graphs or diagrams) and tables should be cited in the text, and each numbered consecutively throughout. Figure parts and footnotes to tables should be identified by lower-case roman letters.
The same data should not be given in both tables and graphs. Color illustrations will be printed at no extra charge to the author if approved by the editor. Captions to the figures should be given in a separate list.
Line drawings. Inscriptions should be clearly legible. Half-tone illustrations should be well contrasted in the desired final size.
Electronic Supplementary Material. Extended tables, color figures, 3-d data sets, molecular structures, video clips, multimedia, audio recordings, etc., that are not essential for the understanding of a printed article but yet of interest can be put on Springer-Verlag's server and will be accessible free of charge on the contents site of this Journal (http://link.springer.de/journals/abc). Such material has to be submitted in electronic form (see the special instructions) and will also be reviewed. Reference to this material will be given with the printed article.
Authors should make their proof corrections on printout of the pdf file supplied, checking that the text is complete and that all figures and tables are included. After online publication, further changes can only be made in the form of an Erratum, which will be hyperlinked to the article. Corrected proofs should be returned to the production editor without delay.
After print publication authors receive two copies of the issue free of charge. Orders for offprints can be placed by returning the order form with the corrected proofs. When you order offprints, you are entitled to receive in addition a pdf file of your article for your own personal use.
The author(s) transfer(s) the copyright to his/their article to Springer-Verlag effective if and when the article is accepted for publication. The copyright covers the exclusive and unlimited rights to reproduce and distribute the article in any form of reproduction (printing, electronic media or any other form); it also covers translation rights for all languages and countries. For U.S. authors the copyright is transferred to the extent transferable.
