The current Official Doctorate Programme in Physics is the result of fussion of previously existing Programmes in "Photonics: Fundamentals and Devices" and "Theoretical, Nuclear and Particle Physics and Astrophysics" in the Universitat de València. It is mainly addressed to Graduates in Physics willing to complete a Postgraduate Degree. It is also of special interest for Graduates in Mathematics who want to specialize in Physics, Graduates in Chemistry interested in working with materials used in Photonics, and Engineers with interest in specializing in Nuclear and Particle Physics, Photonics or Astrophysics technolgies.
Doctorate Programme in Physics is organized by the Faculty of Physics. The following Departments of the Universitat de València participate in the teaching duties at the Programme: Astronomy and Astrophysics; Electromagnetics and Applied Physics; Atomic, Molecular, and Nuclear Physics-IFIC; Theoretical Physics-IFIC; and Optics.
The Programme is structured in two blocks:
- Masters in Advanced Physics, consisting of two courses, and
