CZECH REPUBLIC

In August 2005, Marķa, Gabi and me we spent two weks cycling in the Czech Republic, and more specifically in the Sumava National Park, which is the natural border between Germany, Austria and Czech Republic. Some czech friends suggested us this region to cycle due to its many natural resources as well as its pinturesque villages and certainly we enjoyed very much cycling there: we found huge forests, water and rivers everywhere, beautiful cities, and several thousand kilometres of well signposted cyclotourist routes. If we add cheap prices and very good beer, can we imagine any better holidays?. We slep and have very good recalls of Susice, Prachatice, Cesky Krumlov (marvellous!), and Mikulov, as well as cities as Karperske Hory or Ceske Budejovice (home town of the Czech beer Budweisser) and of course Praha. Thus we recommend you the Czech Republic to cycling.

In August 2013 Gabi and me we came back and made four trips around Olomouc (do not miss it!), one trip in Bratislava (Slovaquia, cycling along the Danube river), and four trips in Sumava. The GPS tracks of these trips are put in the Wikiloc web page, I attach you the links: Olomouc, Beskydy, Sternberg, Jesenik, Bratislava, Sumava1, Sumava2, Sumava3, Sumava4. I also attach you this useful  web page with digital maps of central Europe from which you can create your own tracks.
