Welcome to the “2nd RAVET Project Meeting” to be held in Valencia (Spain) from March 12th (Thursday) to 13th (Friday) 2009.

Last year we began this project with the “RAVET kick-off meeting”. As you all know, the project is formed by three main scientific nodes: IAC (Alejandro Vazdekis), UCM (Javier Gorgas) and UV (Vicent Quilis).
This first meeting was held in Tenerife and, besides the wonderful time we spent there, it was really useful in order to meet everybody and to get informed about what each one of us is working on. It was just a first contact among all of us. In addition, it served to organised the future work that has to be done in the frame of this project.

Following the idea of the last meeting, we are going to meet in the “2nd RAVET Project Meeting”. This time the aim of the meeting will be to inform people about the progress made during the last year and to organise possible future directions of the project. As we decided last year, this time the meeting will be at the Universidad de Valencia.

The program will be very informal. We will have short sessions of selected talks (to be decided) on Thursday morning, and after lunch and whole Friday, we will have plenty of time for open discussions and work in small groups.

Besides all these scientific goals, we hope we enjoy the meeting and spend a wonderful time in Valencia!
