THE SHAKESPEARE SHOW

Another area of RH which we are very proud of is our section devoted to William Shakespeare, probably the most venerated and best known of all the world's literary masters. This area is divided into several interesting sections: The Bookshop Here you will find the works of Shakespeare in every imaginable form: Single volumen eddition in heardback and paperback; our exclusive collectors eddition of individual plays, bound in leather; our student's eddition for use in the classroom; illustrated copies for the younger readers; and a special large-type series for the older ones. You will also find scores for several Shakespeare musicals; a complete tape series of the plays, adapted for radio; soundtracks of the many film productions, plus the films themselves in video and DVD.

Theatre One of the most unique features of RH is our very own scaled-down replica of the original Globe Theatre, with seating for an audience of 300. Here, in continuous session, our visitors can watch first-class productions of all the Shakespearean plays. Great classics such as Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet; the tragic drama of ; the humorous frolics of Much a do about nothing; historical master pieces such as Richard III and Henry V... Shakespeare and RH have combined to provide something to suite the taste of every visitor. Playwrights Workshop This area is another RH original. Here, experienced dramatists will give you an introductory lesson to Shakespearean acting (costumes included), involve you with other visitors in sketches from some of the best known plays...and if you are lucky, shortlist your name for an audition in London at the "Globe Theatre Society". * Don't leave this area without a Shakespearean snak at "Globe Gourmeai", an exclusive period cafeteria where costumed waiters will serve you with all kinds of Elisabethan fare.
