USO POTENCIAL DEL METILFENIDATO Y LA SUGESTIÓN EN EL TRATAMIENTO PSICOLÓGICO Y EN EL AUMENTO DE LAS POTENCIALIDADES HUMANAS : UN ESTUDIO DE CASO
POTENTIAL USE OF THE METHYLPHENIDATE AND THE SUGGESTION IN THE PSYCHOLOGICAL TREATMENT AND THE INCREASE OF THE HUMAN POTENTIALITIES : A CASE STUDY

RESUMEN
El uso de los estimulantes en psicoterapia está muy restringido en la actualidad. Este artículo presenta un estudio de caso que muestra el uso de un estimulante, el metilfenidato, y la sugestión, para el tratamiento de la ansiedad, depresión y estrés. El procedimiento consiste en que, por medio de la sugestión, el paciente es capaz de reproducir a voluntad los efectos positivos del estimulante. Además del tratamiento de los trastornos psicológicos, este procedimiento se utiliza para el desarrollo de las “potencialidades humanas”, como la mejora de la calidad de vida, el afrontamiento eficaz de los problemas y el aumento de la emoción positiva y la felicidad. Al final se reflexiona sobre las posibilidades clínicas y experimentales del procedimiento y la utilización de otros posibles estimulantes, como la cocaína.

SUMMARY
The use of the stimulants in psychotherapy is very restricted at the present time. This article presents a case study that shows the use of a stimulant, the methylphenidate, and the suggestion, for the treatment of the anxiety, depression and stress. The procedure consist in that, by means of the suggestion, the patient is capable of the voluntary reproduction of the stimulant positive effects. Besides the treatment of the psychological disorders, this procedure is used for improvement of the “human potentialities” like the quality of life, coping of the problems and the increase of the positive emotion and the happiness. At the end is discussed about clinical and experimental possibilities of the procedure and the utilization of another possible stimulants, like the cocaine.
