On Friday 17 November, a conference was held in Alzira, organised by the Social Services Laboratory, which brought together professionals from the sector to analyse the results of this year's lines of research.
The opening of the conference was presided over by Head of the Chair for the Valencian Public System of Social Services , Mercedes Botija, President of the Ribera Alta Region Paqui Momparler Orta and Councillor of Social Services, Equality, Inclusive Police and Living of the Town Council of Alzira M. Amèlia Blanquer Martínez.
Different lectures were given by research staff in which the following lines of work were presented and analysed:
- Analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of specific primary care social services and citizen care.
- The challenges of the Valencian inclusion Income and the Minimum Living Allowance or IMV (Ingréso Mínimo Vital) in the Valencian Community.
- Residential inclusion and homelessness in Ribera Alta.
The event, carried out in the Assembly Hall of the Ribera Alta Region, was organised by the Social Services Laboratory of the Chair for Social Services of the UV and originated from a collaboration agreement between the second Vice-president and the Council of Equality and Social Services of the Generalitat Valenciana (Valencian Government), the Universitat de València through the Inter-university Institute for Local Development (IIDL), the Valencian Provincial Council, the Ribera Alta Region and the Town Council of Alzira.
The closing act was led by the Director General of the Management of the Social and Health Care System and of IVAFIQ, José Vicente Anaya Roig, and the head of the chair.
