The UV recognises María Teresa Echenique as a pioneer in the management of departments and university institutes

Yesterday, María Teresa Echenique Elizondo was awarded, along with other 65 pioneer women, in a ceremony that took place in the Paranimf (Main Hall) of La Nau, presided by Maria Vicenta Mestre, UV principal, joined by Vicente Soler, Councillor for Finance of the Valencian Government, Elena Martínez, Vice-Principal for Equality, Diversity and Sustainability, María Elena Olmos, General Secretary of the UV, and Flora de Pablo, Professor at the CSIC (Higher Council for Scientific Research).
Echenique is a Full University Professor of Spanish Philology at the Universitat de València since 1987. She has imparted courses and given conferences in Spanish and foreign universities, and she has been the Principal Investigator in research projects at the Universitat de València since that date. Currently, she directs the HISLEDIA Research Group (GIUV 2013-080) in the Department of Spanish Philology at the Universitat de València.
The event featured a conference by CSIC Professor Flora de Pablo. After the awards ceremony, Principal Maria Vicenta Mestre thanked the work of the pioneer women and the initiative by the Equality Unit for making this possible.
