IMPULS (Promoting the adaptation, improvement, implementation and development of technology for the care of the elderly) is a project being developed by the Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV) in several locations in the Valencian Community.

The aim of this research is to promote technological innovations for active and healthy ageing. IMPULS is co-funded by the Instituto Valenciano de Competitividad Empresarial (IVACE) and supported by the Conselleria de Igualdad y Políticas Inclusivas of the Generalitat Valenciana, as well as by the Asociación para el Cuidado de la Calidad de Vida (CVIDA).

Researchers from the UBIC group are participating in the project by carrying out objective physical measurements using different biomechanical assessment tools in people over 65 years of age. As a result of these measurements, it will be possible to know the characteristics of the population and, subsequently, offer recommendations for self-care, active and healthy life.
