The Valencian Network of Healthy Public Universities (XVUPS, Spanish acronym) -which comprises the Universitat de València, the Universitat Politècnica de València, the Universitat d’Alacant, the Universitat Jaume I and the University Miguel Hernández - has organised different healthy activities in order to commemorate the day of its constitution as a network, 20 November.

The XVUPS aims to promote health, wellness and life quality in university settings, also incorporating the commitment to support the achievement of the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) within the framework of these activities.

Since 2014, the Network chooses every year a slogan for focusing these activities of health and sustainability promotion. This year 2025, the slogan has been focused on waste: 'Eating well is no waste of time'

In addition to this general framework, each university will carry out specific activities in different places and on different dates, according to the programme. For instance, at the Universitat de València, on 20 November, healthy and sustainable fruit will be given in different faculties to encourage its consumption and boost the adherence to the Mediterranean diet and food sustainability, within which food waste is reduced. General and specific activities that will take place within this framework can be found on the website and social media of each participating faculty.
