The Russian invasion of Ukraine that began at the end of February 2022 generated a humanitarian emergency situation that has meant that thousands of families in Ukraine have had to leave their homes.
The University of Valencia, aware of the situation, is developing specific actions to address this exceptional situation, through its plan "Universitat de València with Ukraine".
For its part, the Generalitat Valenciana, through the Counsil of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society, approved by Decree 124/2022, of September 23, approved the direct granting of exceptional grants aimed at hosting research staff and Higher education students affected by the conflict in Ukraine.
In the granting of the subsidy, the University of Valencia is one of the beneficiary entities, for which reason now publishes the call for scholarships for the reception of higher education students affected by the conflict in Ukraine at the University of Valencia.
