Ilan Pappé, one of the so-called "new historians" who have reviewed the modern history of Israel, will deliver the conference "Palestine facing the challenges of the 21st century" in the Aula Magna of the University of Valencia.

It will be this Saturday, November 16, at 6:30 p.m.

Presented by UV professor Lola Bañón, who will moderate the subsequent colloquium, in this activity of sensitivity to the situation of Palestine. The coordinator of International Amnesty in Valencia, Olga Franco, the president of the Palestinian Hispanic Association Jerusalem, Jamil Mahmoud Abusada, and the rector of the University of Valencia, Mª Vicenta Mestre, will also participate.

This conference, organized by the Universitat de València, has the collaboration of International Amnesty Valencia and the Palestinian Hispanic Association Jerusalem.

Doctor Pappé is a professor of History at the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, University of Exeter, UK. He previously directed the Emil Touma Institute for Palestinian Studies in Haifa, where he was Professor of Political Science at the University of Haifa.
