One of the great films of the master of film noir and expressionist cinema Fritz Lang, ‘The Executioners Die Too’ is a thriller set in Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia, which tells the story of the assassination of the cruel Nazi leader Reinhard Heydrich. This film received multiple nominations and outstanding awards. It was nominated for two Oscars in 1944 for Best Sound (Jack Whitney) and Best Soundtrack (Hanns Eisler). Moreover, Director Fritz Lang was nominated to the NYFCC New York Film Critics Circle Award in the Best Director category. The film was also recognised at the 1946 Venice Film Festival, where it won the Specialty Mention of the International Critics' Prize. These accolades established the film as an essential work of anti-Nazi resistance cinema.
