Next Thursday, October 10th at 7 p.m. in the Aula Magna of La Nau Cultural Centre, the book Todo lo que debes saber sobre el coche eléctrico by Javier Tomás Catalá will be presented.

In this presentation, the Vice-principal of the office for Territorial Projection and Participation, Jorge Hermosilla; the General Director of Industries of the Generalitat Valenciana, Empar Martínez; the Technical Vice-president of Power Electronics, Lalo Salvo; the expert in energy, Pedro Fresco and the author of the book, Javier Tomás, Corporate University Director in Power Electronic, will take part.

In the past century, millions of users drive a car every day without mechanical knowledge, we are simply used to terms related to combustion cars. But this hasn't always been the case and there was a lot to learn in the beginning. This is exactly the moment when the main characters of this book, the electric cars, find themselves. What nowadays remains unknown, will be mundane answers in the future. The truth is that electric cars are not complicated, it is all about a small electrical installation with wheels and this book tries to explain all the necessary aspects for its correct understanding. Starting with its history, following by its environmental benefits, its safety, its different parts and ending with everything related to its recharging. This will lead us to get answers to common questions such as “how long does it take to recharge”, “how much money does it cost to refuel” or “how many km can I travel”. The electric car has a brilliant future, but only time and drivers will decide if it is the ultimate technology. For the time being, this contribution is intended to help drivers for a better understanding and certainly a better decision making.
