“Visibilitat” series - No somos amigas...

On the occasion of the Lesbian Visibility Day and within the Diversitats lecture series, a lecture about projects and views on lesbian visibility was organised.

Visibility still takes the #1 spot on the lesbian-feminist agenda. The non-binary visibility of our identities and bodies, of our culture and genealogy, the visibilisation of our mannerisms, of our masculinities and femininities, the visibilisation of the violence we experience, but also of the fight and life alternatives we embody. In this session, we’ll be introduced to projects promoted

by lesbian feminists of various fields of knowledge and culture (from gynaecology to translation and comic book creation). And we will highlight approaches from a hetero-centred point of view which, although

well-intentioned, add to lesbian clichés.

Journalist and promoter for the feminist digital magazine “Pikara Magazine” June Fernández will give the lecture.
