Registration open for “Erasmus al Territori” - Sagunt, Cultural Heritage

The Universitat de València, through the Office of the the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Society and the Vice-Principal for Internationalization and Cooperation, continues with the “Erasmus al Territori” programme. In this 7th edition, training itineraries have been organized that will allow some Valencian municipalities regarding to their culture and heritage.

SAGUNT

Sagunt, located 25 km away to the north of the city of Valencia, it is the capital of the region of Campo de Morvedre. Located on the banks of the River Palancia, it is located on a strategic place from a geographic point of view. 

Its historical importance is manifested through its more than two thousand years of existence. A recipient city of several cultures (Iberian, Roman, Islamic, Christian and Jewish) conserves a valuable historical heritage such as its Roman Theater, the Roman Road of the Pórtico or Jueria. 

In addition, it maintains an important industrial heritage as a result of its stage as an iron and steel city developed in the port area.
