From November 4th to 8th, the Science Week of Gandia is celebrated.  Beyond the workshops and activities aimed at primary and secondary school students, a series of conferences open to the general public is organised. Check the programme:

MONDAY 4th:  ‘Fotografiando la frontera del tiempo y del espacio’ (Photographing the frontier of time and space). Ivan Martí. Astronomic Observatory of the Universitat de València.

TUESDAY 5th: ‘Érase una vez…ciencia hecha por mujeres’ (Once upon a time...science made by women). Marta Macho. University of the Basque Country.

WEDNESDAY 6th: ‘Apocalipsis microbiana en un mundo sin antibióticos’(Microbial apocalypse in a world without antibiotics). Sergi Maicas.  Smalle Word Iniciativas Project Coordinator.  Universitat de València.

THURSDAY 7th: ‘El impacto de la contaminación acústica en nuestras vidas. ¿Cómo podemos atenuarlo?’ (The impact of noise pollution on our lives. How can we mitigate it?). Ana Delgado. Sociedad Española de Acústica (Spanish Acoustics Society).

FRIDAY 8th: ‘El origen de las especies de Darwin: una invitación a la lectura’ (The origin of Darwin's species: an invitation to read). Juli Peretó.  Deputy Director of the Institute for Integrative Systems Biology. Universitat de València.

All conferences will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Casa de la Cultura Marqués de González de Quirós (Paseo Germanías, 11. Gandia). Free entrance.
