Five women share on their way throughout an historical period going from the Second Spanish Republic to the Spanish Civil War and the post-war via scenes inspired by historical events, but establishing a link between this era and current times. Maletas de tierra prioritizes the skin and voice of women: the former being the battlefield in any conflict, and the latter the one that’s been kept quiet more easily
