Adela Valero: “UVinserta finishes with excellent results on the employability of our students"

The Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Programmes, Adela Valero, ended the UVinserta programme's closing ceremony. The UVinserta programme, held this week, is an initiative to raise employability of the following degrees: Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Political and Public Administration Sciences, and Criminology. According to the Vice-Principal, this programme, which has taken more than twenty students in, has finished with "excellent results regarding the insertion of future professionals trained at the UV".

In UVinserta's closing and recognition ceremony, held online, the main results of the programme of the previous year 2019-2020 were reviewed and participants explained their first-hand experience. Among the main conclusions, it was highlighted the good results obtained thanks to individual counselling sessions and training courses focused on personal best, entrepreneurship and communication. 

This programme is a pilot project promoted by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Programmes of the Universitat de València, in collaboration with Banco Santander Universidades, through UVjob service and UVprácticas. 

The closing ceremony, led by the coordinator of UVjob, María José Torres, also counted on the presence of the Institutions Director and Regional Director of the Valencian Community and Murcia of Banco Santander, José Miguel Lorente, and the director of UVjob, Marisa Quintanilla, as well as the coordinators of the participating degrees and those of the collaborating entities. 

Vice-Principal Adela Valero congratulated "the whole team that has worked on this programme to make it a success" and highlighted that "UVinserta is an ambitious programme that we hope will reach the maximum number of students at the Universitat". 

José Miguel Lorente, for his part, asserted: "Banco Santander is proud of being able to participate in projects that promote excellence, inclusion, the employability improvement and the entrepreneurial culture, such as UVinserta programme". 

On the other hand, UVjob plans to hold a closing ceremony of a second employability programme carried out this year, UVcapacitas, aimed at the professional insertion of graduates with disabilities. This event will be held online next 24 November at 5 pm.
