Associate professor in Procedural Law Department. Degree in Law and in Business Administration (University of Valencia, 2009),  Executive Master in Business Law (Centro de Estudios Garrigues, 2012), Master's Degree in Human Rights, Democracy and International Justice (University of Valencia, 2014) and PhD in Law (University of Valencia, 2018).

Her current research focuses on procedural mechanisms for the protection of human rights, both judicial and extrajudicial, an area in which the study on the protection of environmental rights through the criminal justice system should be highlighted. She has also worked on other aspects related to procedural rights and guarantees, such as the right to defence, the right to appeal or the admissibility of witness evidence, among others. She has been visiting researcher in the following centres: Universidad Central de Chile, Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (Heidelberg), Centre for Environmental and Global Justice (Northumbria University), Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (University of Oslo), International Association Human Rights Institute (London).

Member of the MEDARB research group at the University of Valencia and Head of the Criminal Procedural Law Section of the Ibero-American Law Institute. She has participated in several research projects, including Prometeo GVA 2018/111 "Claves de la justicia civil y penal en la sociedad del miedo" and Prometeo GVA 2014/081 "ADR y Justicia: ¿'Glocalización o glocalización?". She is currently a member of the research project "Claves para una justicia digital y algorítmica con perspectiva de género" (PID2021-123170OB-I00) of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.

Patricia Llopis Nadal is Associate Professor (Lecturer) of Procedural Law at University of Valencia. She completed her Law Degree (2012), her LLM in European Law (2014) and her PhD in Law (2017) with honors at University of Valencia and was awarded the Academic Excellence Scholarship by the Valencian Government (Law graduate students, Year 2012).

Her research has been focused on supranational courts, copyrights legal protection, the protection of rights in the digital realm and judicial cooperation in criminal matters. In 2014, she was awarded with Manuel Broseta’s Prize for her research on legal protection of Fundamental Rights in Europe; in 2018, her research on copyrights protection against infringements on the Internet was awarded with Antonio Delgado’s Prize. As a result of her work as researcher, she has published two books as well as book chapters and papers in specialized reviews; besides, she has actively participated in national and international conferences. She has obtained grants funded through competitive tenders in order to complete her research at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for International, European and Regulatory Procedural Law (four times) and at Paris-Sorbonne University. Furthermore, she has taken part in six research projects, five national-funded and one regional-funded, on class actions and efficiency, legal safeguards in criminal proceedings and rights legal protection in the digital environment.

She teaches Civil Procedural Law and Criminal Procedural Law at the Law School of the University of Valencia. She is also professor of the LLM in Criminology and Security, the LLM in Gender-based violence and the LLM in International and European studies. In 2015, she was part of the Programme in European Private Law for Postgraduates (PEPP), in 2016 she completed the International Legal English Diploma postgraduate course and since 2018 she has been teaching her subjects in English at the High-Performance groups of the University of Valencia. She is an active member of innovative teaching projects awarded by different Spanish universities; besides, since 2014 she is part of the UV-Moot Court group, coaching the teams in international competitions and sharing her experience in seminars. She was coordinator of the first and the second edition of the Summer School for Young Researchers organized by the Law School of the University of Valencia and since mars 2020 she is member and coordinator of the Inter-University Network for the Research and Teaching of Procedural Law in English.

Premio extraordinario en licenciatura (1975) y doctorado (1978) por la U. de Valencia. Estancias de investigación en Max-Planck-Institut für Deutsches und Ausländisches Strafrecht (Freiburg i. Br), Dipartimento di Diritto e Procedura Civile, U. di Roma III Tor Vergata, Centre de Recherche sur la Justice et le Procès, U. Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Catedrático en U. de Extremadura (1984), desde 1985 en la U. de València. Evaluación positiva de todos los quinquenios de docencia. Director de nueve tesis doctorales, cuyos autores son profesores titulares (2) y catedráticos (5) y co-director de dos, cuyas autoras son profesora titular y profesora ayudante doctora.

Investigador principal en cinco proyectos de I+D. Tiene reconocidos seis sexenios de investigación. Autor único de ocho libros, a destacar El embargo preventivo. Doctrina y jurisprudencia, Las medidas cautelares y La ejecución de condenas no dinerarias en la Ley de Enjuiciamiento Civil. Director y coautor, entre otros, de Derecho procesal civil (Thomson-Aranzadi, 19ª ed. 2020), Introducción al Derecho Procesal (Thomson-Aranzadi, 10ª ed. 2020), El proceso penal en la doctrina del Tribunal Constitucional (Thomson Aranzadi, 2005), Iter procesal civil (Portal laleydigital.es). Co-autor de Proceso civil práctico (Madrid, 2002, La Ley Wolters Kluwer; gran comentario a LEC 2000 actualizado hasta 2015).
