Center for World University Rànquings (CWUR), has published its second edition by subject that has denominated CWUR Rankings by subject 2017. This ranking analyzes the best universities in 227 subjects, that cover all the academic disciplines in sciences and social sciences.
CWUR Rankings by subject 2017 ranks the leading universities in 227 thematic categories. This classification is based on the number of research articles in first level journals. The data are obtained from Clarivate Analytics (formerly Intellectual property of Thomson Reuters), which makes its annual list Highly Cited Researchers, the most cited researchers in the world.
The Universitat de València appears among the 10 best universities in the world in five subjects. This puts the UV among the 100 best universities in the world in position 97, according to the number of subjects in which it is ranked among the 10 best in the world.
