The Geolodía is a scientific dissemination initiative coordinated by the Sociedad Geológica de España that every year aims the citizens to discover geology directly on the ground. Through free, open-to-the-public excursions guided by specialists, this activity is held simultaneously in different Spanish provinces, and it is aimed to approach Earth Science, to promote scientific culture, and to make known the importance of the geological heritage.

In this edition, the Geolodía in Valencia is organised by the Department of Geology from the Universitat de València, in collaboration with other entities such as the Sociedaad Geológica de España, and other scientific institutions. The activity will be held at the Chera-Sot Natural Park in Chera, under the title 'El río Sot: riesgos y oportunidades geológicas'.
