The animal production section is a service whose purpose is to maintain, produce and control experimental animals intended for research and teaching that is taught in this University and other research centers requesting their services.
Our purpose is to provide support for both research and in the necessary techniques for its performance. In this sense, the facilities are registered as user centre of experimental animals in the register of user centres of the Service of Production and Animal Health, Conselleria d'Agricultura i Pesca of the Generalitat Valenciana.
The animals come mostly from breeding and supply centres. The rest of animals are raised in our animal facility. The animas that come from other centres, in terms of health status, comply with the recommended legislation by FELASA, being free-specific pathogens animals.
