The development of electronic microscopy and confocal microscopy techniques has allowed that currently these become indispensable tools for research in numerous scientific fields of science as diverse as biology, development of new materials, medicine and archaeology, etc.

The microscopy section of the SCSIE has full equipment made by different electronic microscopes of transmission and scanning, as well as a confocal microscope. Moreover, the section has a qualified staff that gives technical support to users during mornings and afternoons. All this allow us to offer a great variety of provisions to the service of the scientific community.
