The unit of multigenic analysis available in the Central Research Unit of the Faculty of Medicine of Valencia is designed to offer a high technological level, both for researchers of the University and for other private or public institutions.

The service has an Affymetrix platform, of modern technology and powerful instrumentation, which allows the simultaneous analysis of thousands genes quantitatively and reproducibility and also allows both the analysis of microarrays of expression, of exons and microRNA, such studies as SNP and mapping of binding sites of transcription and research factors of new transcriptional elements.

The facilities are completed with a NextSeq 550, Illumina next-generation sequencing (NGS) system. This high-throughput benchtop sequencer enables transcriptome and targeted resequencing applications with the accuracy of Illumina sequencing technology. The NextSeq 550 Sequencing System delivers the power of high-throughput sequencing and microarray scanning with the simplicity of a benchtop sequencer.
