Among the many existing actions within the FORTHEM alliance, one of them is short-term student mobility, carried out between the 9 universities of the Alliance. Every year, students are offered around ten collective short-term mobility activities, giving them the opportunity to participate in a one-week group activity (5 face-to-face days) as part of a group of approximately 25 students, coming from all FORTHEM partner universities.

As in the three previous editions, one or several members of one of the FORTHEM universities-university lecturers-, as well as one of their student associations, may submit their proposal. The deadline for submitting applications for Short-Term Mobility Projects is 12 September 2022. This fourth call for projects covers STMs taking place between 1st March 2023 and 29th February 2024.

Academics and associations are advised to consider travel days when planning the agenda (students will be coming from all parts of Europe). Therefore, it is important not to start the programme before the afternoon/evening on the first day and finish in the morning of the last day.

The FORTHEM Alliance provides funding for travel, accommodation and daily allowances for the students; and the organisers will receive €500 for small expenses such as coffee breaks, meals, etc.

The selected projects will be announced through the FORTHEM alliance network on 5th October 2022. The call for students will be published in November, for activities to be organised between March 2023 and August 2023, and a second call for student applications in spring 2023 for activities planned between September 2023 and February 2024.

Applicants wishing to organise a short-term collective mobility supported by FORTHEM mobility funding should fill out the application form, giving details of the activity planned, the structures involved and anticipated funding, as well as any requirements to be met by future student applicants. It is also possible to send the application to the local FORTHEM Office by email including all the information from the online form.
