This initiative has arisen from the Vice-chancellorship for Internationalisation and Cooperation, and consolidates the internationalisation strategy from the Universitat of València.
The adhesion has been formalised during the general annual meeting, celebrated at the University of Tartu Ulikool (Estonia). The Utrecht Network, created in 1987, is a representative network of 31 European universities to 27 countries. Among its members, some universities stand out, like the Università di Bologna, the Universiteit Utrecht and Bergen, the University College Cork or the Université de Strasbourg.
In addition, the Utrecht Network cooperates with a student exchange programme with international networks in America and Australia. At this point, is where the consolidated relations which the Universitat of València maintains with the European partners, Latin America, United States, Canada and Oceania as well as Asian countries, assure a successful contribution for the development of the network.
