The friends and former students of Universitat de València celebrated last Saturday their annual meeting. This event, conceived as a ludic encounter made up of different activities and workshops, started at 9:30 at Universitat de València’s Jardí Botànic.

Six workshops were offered through the morning. There were four for adults: an express magic tricks lesson, a wine tasting by Torres, a tribute to Teodoro Llorente, and a guided visit around the garden. There are two workshops for children under 12: a stilts workshop, and cooperative games. It is necessary to book the place to take part in these activities.

The encounter used to be celebrated on Christmas at La Nau, but last year a change in its format was operated in order to transform the meeting into a more ludic encounter. The first edition was very well welcome, which has been determining to definitely change the date and move this event from winter to spring time.

The Friends and Former Students Association is the way to keep in contact with the university after finishing one’s studies; it is also a method to become a friend of the university if someone has never been part of it. This association offers discounts and some advantages as excursions, discounts on hotels, leisure activites, etc. Nowadays, more than 1,500 people are part of this association.
