EPIDISEASE, an enterprise project of technology-based led by Dr. José Luis García, from CIBER of Rare Diseases (CIBERER) in the laboratory of the Department of Physiology of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the University of Valencia, has been one of the ten winners of the National Contest for Young Entrepreneurs of Injuve who will receive a 25,000 euros aid.

EPIDISEASE, one of the five winners in the category of not made projects ​​among 333 applications, is an enterprise project for the study of epigenetic biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis of diseases. These biomarkers are based on the study of DNA methylation, post-translational modifications of histones, the study of expression of histone variants, miRNAs and lncRNAs. In this project, Doctors Lorena Peiró (INCLIVA Biobank Coordinator) and Salvador Mena (post- doctoral researcher at the Universitat Politècnica de València) are also involved.
