Seminar at the University held by managers of the Brazilian Small Business Support Service

The UV hosts for two weeks thirty managers of the Brazilian Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE). The Inter-university Institute for Local Development of the University open its doors, from 21 to 31 July, to the Brazilian representatives, in the framework of an Arrangement for technical scientific Cooperation signed by the academic institution and the SEBRAE.

The agreement is the continuation of the one signed in 2012, by means of which training activities for analysts technicians of the Brazilian institution have been carried out both in their country and in Valencia. After the SEBRAE leaders’ stay, two professors of the IIDL will move to Brazil during August. It involves starting teaching the Master’s Degree of Territorial and Sustainable Vision of the Development. Methods and Tools for institutional action of local focus, addressed to the specialisation of analysts technicians of the SEBRAE who operate on the ground in their country. The course will be undertaken between July 2014 and July 2015, worth 1,824 hours in a semi-attendance format. One part will be given in Brazil, the second one online, and the third and last one will consist on a ten-day stay of the Brazilian analysts in the UV.

This new agreement corresponds to the shared interest by the Brazilian Service and the UV to work hand in hand in the creation of their technical staff. The face-to-face Seminar addressed to the leaders of the SEBRAE will be carried out from the 21 July in the building of La Nau of the UV, entitled “Visión Territorial y Sostenible del Desarrollo. II Seminario para Directores de SEBRAE” (Territorial and Sustainable Vision of the Development. Second Seminar for SEBRAE leaders). The academic meeting consists on lectures, presentation of specific cases, analysis workshops, discussion and technical visits.
