Today begins the 14th Early Music Festival at La Nau

Capella de Ministrers.

Today, Tuesday 16 April, begins the fourteenth edition of the Early Music Festival Valencia (MHA 2013) at the Cultural Centre La Nau. This festival is held at various venues around the city and from the initiative and cultural associations Expositio Comes in collaboration with the University of Valencia, the IVM CulturArts INAEM, the Conservatory of Music of Castellón and Museum San Pio V. Admission to all MHA concerts are free until full capacity.

 

The first concert will take place today at the Cultural Centre La Nau, at the Chapel of Wisdom, at 20:00, with the programme "Tromba di Sonare. Baroque Music for Trumpet." The following week, on Monday 22, there will be a live broadcast of the RNE programme Los Clásicos de Radio Nacional in the auditorium of La Nau. This monographic program will focus on the new recording of Capella de Ministrers, 'La Cité des Dames', which will feature a disucssion by speakers Carlos Santos and Micaela Vergara, as well as Carles Magraner, director of Capella de Ministrers, Antonio Ariño, vice-principal for Culture and Equality of the University of Valencia, Inmaculada Tomás, CulturArts director of IVM and specialist Lorenzo Josemi.

 

The objective is to have a dynamic programme in which Capella de Ministrers will perform live a selection of pieces from the new album.
