. Dr. Adrián Ferrandis Martínez is a professional with significant experience in the fields of research and teaching, as well as in consultancy. In this sense, as a Geographer, he has a professional career of almost 20 years of experience dedicated to his different fields of specialisation. In the early years of his professional career, he worked in territorial, town planning and environmental consultancy, alternating between working as a technician in a consultancy firm and working as a freelance professional. During this period he participated in the preparation of all types of plans and programmes (general plans, partial plans, urban development programmes, etc.), as well as socio-economic and environmental studies (demographic studies, landscape studies, environmental impact studies and studies on the need for subsidised housing, among others). In the field of research, together with its links with the university, its trajectory is related to its participation in different types of research projects at international, national, regional and local level. In this sense, it is worth mentioning that he has obtained 2 Six-Year Research Fellowships recognised for the periods 2012-2017 and 2018-2023 by ANECA (Spanish National Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation). Among the competitive projects in which he has participated at international level, those funded by the EU within the SPON, Live Long Learning and ERASMUS+ programmes stand out. At national level, special mention should be made of its participation in two R+D+I projects of the Ministry of Innovation and Science, with themes linked to Tourism and Territorial Planning. At regional and local level, it has participated in a significant number of projects and agreements signed with public and private entities for the development of different studies and plans. In the field of teaching, he has 13 academic periods with positive evaluation (4 on average, with an evaluation system between 1 and 5: 5 years as associate lecturer, 4 years as assistant lecturer doctor, and 4 years as contract lecturer doctor). He has also obtained 2 five-year teaching periods recognised by the UV for the period 2011-2018 and 2019-2023. During these periods he has taught in the degrees of Geography and Environment, Degree in Tourism, Degree in Environmental Sciences, Degree in History, Degree in Geography and Degree in Humanities. He has also participated in postgraduate degrees, such as the Official Masters in Tourism Management and Planning (UV), Sustainable Tourism and ICT (UOC) and in City and Urban Planning (UOC), and in own degrees such as the Masters in Strategy and Sustainable Management of Tourist Destinations (UOC-OMT) or the Diploma in GIS Applied to the Professional Territory, among others. In addition, he has taught in various university extension programmes for the over 55s. At University Management level, he was from July 2017 to July 2019 the Knowledge Area Coordinator (AGR) and member of the Permanent Board of the Department of Geography. He was also the Academic Coordinator of the 3rd and 4th year of the Geography and Environment Degree during the years 2019-2023. He is currently a member of the Doctoral Commission of the Doctoral Programme in Geography and History, as well as a member of the Permanent Board of the Inter-University Institute of Local Development.
