Biography

Anabel Fernández holds a degree in Business Administration and Management, a Master's in Strategic Management, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Valencia, where she received extraordinary postgraduate and doctoral awards. In her career, she has worked in the investment department of a financial institution, as a local development agent in the public sector, and as a research assistant in the Superior Council of Scientific Research (CSIC) in Spain.

Since 2010, she works at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia where she teaches subjects related to Strategic Management and Innovation Management. She has been a visiting researcher at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and at the University of Bordeaux. She was co-chair of the interest group on Strategic Management at the European Academy of Management (EURAM) conference and now she is a member of the board of this association. She is currently co-chair of the Master in Human Resources Management of the University of Valencia and the coordinator of professional careers for students at UVocupació from the University of Valencia. Her interest in research focuses on Organizational Learning, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Dynamic Capabilities from a Strategic perspective. She has published on these topics in journals such as Long Range Planning, Technovation, Industrial Marketing Management, and International Business Review, among others.
