Dr Martínez graduated in Economics from the University of Valencia. She holds a Master’s degree in Financial and Stock Market Studies from the Foundation for Stock Market and Financial Studies at the Valencia Stock Exchange, as well as a Master’s degree in Economics and a PhD in Industrial Economics from the University of Valencia. She served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Valencia between 2018 and 2024 and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Economics at the Faculty of Economics of the same university.
She has been a visiting scholar at the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca (Italy, 2022–2023) , at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (México, Summer 2024) and at University Jaume I (Spain, Fall 2025). She is a member of the INTECO research group. In parallel with her academic career, she worked as a Senior Investment Analyst at a leading financial institution in Spain from 2005 to 2024.
Her research interests include international economics, environmental economics, international trade, and the green economy. She is the author of publications in international journals such as The World Economy, among others.
