Andrea Pallás-Rocafull holds a degree in International Business from the University of Valencia (2018), a Master's degree with Extraordinary Distinction in the Master's Program in Business Strategy from the University of Valencia (2020), and a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Valencia (2025). She currently works as an Assistant Professor in the "Juan José Renau Piqueras" Department of Business Administration. Previously, she was employed as both a predoctoral and postdoctoral researcher in the same department, under contract ACIF/2021/322 (funded by the Valencian Regional Government). Furthermore, she has been a member of the INGLOBEST research group since 2021. Her research areas focus on business internationalization, governance and competitive improvement in Global Value Chains, the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and sustainable strategies in both social and environmental terms. These topics were addressed in her doctoral thesis, entitled "SMEs' sustainable upgrading in Global Value Chains: An institutional and network approach," which was awarded the highest distinction, cum laude, and an international mention. She has participated in national and regional research projects, collaborating as a team member in areas such as data analysis and dissemination, while also being involved in several knowledge transfer projects and two teaching innovation projects. Following with research, she is a member of international associations such as the European International Business Academy (EIBA), the Academy of International Business (AIB), and the Spanish Association of Business Economics and Management (ACEDE). She has also presented her scientific papers at numerous conferences and participated in these events also as a session chair, reviewer, member of the organizing team, and co-organizer of a special track. Furthermore, she is the co-author of two book chapters and a research book published by prestigious publishers and has published her work in journals like European Planning Studies, Long Range Planning, and Papeles de Economía Española.
