Bachelor, Master and Doctor in Chemistry, I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Analytical Chemistry of the University of Valencia. My research integrates metabolomics and lipidomics, vibrational spectroscopy, chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), together with chemometrics and machine learning techniques, to develop and validate methodologies analytics.
I completed my doctorate and worked for more than 7 years (2014-2022) at the La Fe Health Research Institute (Valencia), in the Perinatology Research Group, in a hospital environment and oriented to translational research in neonatology. During this stage, I also completed an international stay at the LIMES Institute (University of Bonn, Germany), focused on aptamer selection for analytical purposes.
Subsequently, I completed a postdoctoral degree at the Institut des Biomolécules Max Mousseron (CNRS–Université de Montpellier, France) (2023-2024), working on lipid oxidation and lipidomics by LC-MS/MS and on molecular networks applied to the study of non-enzymatic oxidation of PUFAs and oxylipins.
Since 2024 I have been part of the groupSOLINQUIANA-SPECML of the UVEG Department of Analytical Chemistry (IP: Prof. Pérez-Guaita), where I work on IR spectroscopy, modeling and data analysis, participating and leading R&D&I projects with academic and clinical collaborators. Among them, I coordinate NEFROIR (in collaboration with the Puerta de Hierro Hospital, Majadahonda), aimed at applying vibrational spectroscopy to protein analysis in the context of chronic kidney disease, and I maintain active lines in oxylipins and metabolomics.
I agreeresearch with university teaching, student supervision, educational innovation, dissemination and scientific review, prioritizing reproducible practices and the publication of data and open code when possible. Outside of the laboratory, I maintain an active interest in astronomy, computing, and scientific instrumentation.
