Arianna Renau Pruñonosa is a geologist, lecturer and researcher at the University of Valencia, where she works in the External Geodynamics Area of the Department of Botany and Geology. Her teaching activity focuses primarily on Geosciences applied to the environment, at both undergraduate and master’s levels. Her research focuses on hydrogeology, with particular emphasis on Mediterranean coastal aquifers. Her main research areas include the sustainable management of groundwater resources, seawater intrusion, hydrogeochemistry and water quality, aquifer overexploitation, managed aquifer recharge, and the application of modelling and analytical tools for groundwater assessment and management. She currently collaborates actively with the University Institute of Pesticides and Water (IUPA) and the FACSA Chair for Innovation in the Integrated Water Cycle, both at Universitat Jaume I in Castelló. Her career combines academic and research activities with applied professional experience, having worked as a self-employed hydrogeologist on projects for local authorities. She has also participated in research projects and studies related to water resources and has published scientific papers in international journals. Her academic activity also includes university management and coordination responsibilities, as well as participation in several educational innovation projects aimed at bringing Geosciences closer to pre-university education and promoting their dissemination and transfer to society.
