Dr. Adrián Suárez is an Assistant Professor at the Electronic Engineering Department of the University of Valencia (UVEG), Spain, since 2022. He developed his research as a member of the Communications and Digital Systems Design Group - DSDC at the UVEG. Dr. Suarez received the Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering from the University of Valencia, Valencia, in 2021. From 2013 to 2015, he was a Research Assistant with the Design of Communication and Digital Systems Research Group (DSDC), University of Valencia. Since 2015, he is working as Research Engineer within the Cátedra EMC, a collaboration agreement between the University of Valencia and the company Würth Elektronik.
His research interests include the advanced characterization of electromagnetic shielding materials for 5G technologies and board-level shielding solutions. Dr. Suarez became a Member (M) of IEEE in 2012. He collaborates with the IEEE EMC Society through the Technical Committee 4 for EMI Control, specifically, in the workgroups focused on the Characterization of Shielding Effectiveness Planar Materials (P2715) and Characterization of Shielding Effectiveness of Printed Circuit Board Level Shielding (P2716).
