PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Life scientist with a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Currently dedicated to the management of scientific infrastructures related to genetic resources, as MIRRI, a European research infrastructure serving Bioscience and Bioindustry users by facilitating access to a broad range of high quality bioresources and data in a legal compliant way

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Biology (2000) and Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry (2002) by the University of Valencia

PhD degree (2005) by the University of Valencia, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

EXPERIENCE

Since January 2013: Microbial resources manager in the Spanish Type Culture Collection (CECT). Management of the MIRRI project and other initiatives related to the valorization of microbial resources (REDESMI and MicroBioSpain). Quality manager (ISO 9001). Compliance manager of aspects related to the use of microorganisms (Convention on Biological Diversity and Nagoya Protocol, Biosecurity, transport of biological samples, etc.)

July 2011 - December 2012: CECT quality manager. Certified as Quality Manager by the "European Organization for Quality". Responsible for the maintenance of the ISO 9001 certificate and for the implementation of the Best Practices for Biological Resource Centers of the OECD
