I am a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology, University of Valencia. I am affiliated with the Institute of Creativity and Educational Innovations. I have been awarded two six-year research periods by the Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA). My research focuses on the sociological analysis of the relationship between society and education, specifically on the study of educational indicators and educational trajectories, decisions, and transitions. I do research about the transformations of university institutions and study choices at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have also produced work on education and gender, and on university policies regarding equality and work-life balance. I have participated in several research projects, both as principal investigator and as a member of a research team. I have also been involved in educational innovation projects. I was an Erasmus teacher at the University of Coimbra (Portugal). From 2016 to 2022, I was the editor of the Journal of Sociology of Education (RASE). I have conducted research stays in Portugal, Germany, England, and Brazil. In the field of management, I am the Rector's Delegate for Academic Trajectories at the University of Valencia.
