Óscar Bayo graduated in Classical Philology from the University of Valencia in 2022. One year later, in 2023, he completed the Master's Degree in Secondary Education Teaching at the same institution, earning the Extraordinary Master's Award. In 2024, he pursued the Master's Degree in Research in Languages and Literatures, once again at the University of Valencia.
He has worked as a substitute lecturer in the field of Greek Philology at the Department of Classical Philology at the University of Valencia. He is currently a predoctoral research trainee in the same department, having obtained a CIACIF/2023 contract for predoctoral research staff funded by the Generalitat Valenciana.
He is a member of the Grup de Recerca i Acció Teatral de la Universitat de València (GRATUV), where he is working on his doctoral thesis, focusing on the linguistic strategies used to express verbal humor in Aristophanes' comedies.
His primary research interest lies in the pragmalinguistic study of Ancient Greek Comedy texts, particularly those of its leading figure, Aristophanes.
