Biography

Miriam Beneito Cambra has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Valencia (UV) since 2023. She obtained her PhD in Chemistry from the UV in 2011, including a stay at the University of Vienna (Austria). Her doctoral thesis received the highest grade (“Excelente Cum Laude”) and the Extraordinary Doctorate Award (UV, 2013). She completed postdoctoral stays at the University of Jaén and the “École Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de la Ville de Paris” (Paris, France). Her research career is characterized by an evolution from the initial development of separation and characterization methodologies in chromatography and capillary electrophoresis to the consolidation of advanced approaches based on LC-MS/HRMS, with special emphasis on the optimization of ambient and plasma ionization sources (DBDI, LTP) and nanoflow strategies (nLC). Her research is primarily focused on the multi-residue analysis of pesticides, drugs, and other compounds of interest in complex matrices, especially food and vegetable oils.
