Biography

I studied Biochemistry at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain) and a Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Cells and Genetics from the University of València. During my studies, I completed an internship at the Genomics Department of CIC bioGUNE (Center for Cooperative Research in Biosciences) in Bilbao. This department specializes in the development of high-throughput technologies for genomic characterization, including whole-genome DNA variant analysis, the study of coding and non-coding RNA expression, and the profiling of DNA methylation patterns.

Currently, I am pursuing my PhD at the University of Valencia. My research focuses on the role of eIF5A, an essential and abundant translation factor in all eukaryotes, under various stress conditions, with a particular emphasis on heat stress. I have also explored its involvement in protein homeostasis and uncovered potential implications in neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntington's disease, highlighting the relevance and impact of studying this factor.
