Biography

He holds a degree in Physics from the University of Valencia (2012) and a PhD in Remote Sensing from the University of Valencia (2017). He is currently an Assistant Professor (2024) in the Department of Earth Physics and Thermodynamics at the University of Valencia. He has been a member of the Environmental Remote Sensing research group at the University of Valencia (UV-ERS) since 2013.His research focuses on the development of artificial intelligence algorithms applied to data acquired by Earth observation satellites, with an emphasis on the study of terrestrial ecosystems. He has received several international research awards and has participated in numerous international, national, and regional research projects and contracts addressing ecosystem status and their role in the carbon cycle, as well as land-use classification using deep learning algorithms. He is a member of the editorial board of the international journal Scientific Reports and serves on the advisory board of the Territorial Information System (EIKOS) for ecosystem monitoring of the Government of Spain.
