Biography

Víctor Ciudad-Fernández holds a PhD in Psychology (Cum Laude) from the University of Valencia and an Inter-University Master's in Behavioural Science Methodology. He conducts research in the Department of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatments, where he studies behavioural addictions, especially problematic social media use among adolescents.

He has published in leading JCR journals such as Nature Reviews Psychology, Addictive Behaviors, Journal of Behavioral Addictions, BMC Psychology and European Psychiatry, with a methodological focus on network analysis, structural equation modelling and psychometric instrument validation.

He is the founder of Beetrics, a talent-retention service that identifies the key people in each company, quantifies the cost of their departure and reduces employee turnover in industrial, technology and hospitality companies. With a science-based approach, it flags flight risk before it is too late and generates data-driven action plans. Beetrics has been selected by the accelerators Lanzadera and IATech (University of Valencia), and its work has been featured in media such as Forbes, ABC, Expansión and AJE Valencia.

He also runs Análisis de Datos en Psicología, a statistical consultancy for researchers in psychology and health sciences, where he performs data analysis and advises on doctoral theses and publication in Q1/Q2 journals.
