Dario Pérez Vidal holds degrees in History (2018) and Art History (2020), a Master's degree in Archaeology (2021) with Extraordinary Award, and a Master's degree in Secondary Education Teaching (2023), both of which he earned at the Universitat de València (UV). He also holds a University Expert in the Archaeology of Classical Architecture (2022) from the Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO) and a Professional Expert in Advanced Technologies for the Management and Documentation of Cultural Heritage (2024) from the Universidad Nacional de Estudios a Distancia (UNED).
In the 2028-2019 academic year, he received the "Beca Santander Iberoamérica – Programa Internacional" to pursue a semester of studies toward a Bachelor's Degree in Archaeology at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México, Tenancingo University Center (Mexico). He is currently pursuing doctoral studies at the Department of Art History at the Universitat de València of Valencia, holding a Research Traineeship contract associated with the project (Trad.) "Terracottas and Communities in the Eastern Peninsula during the Iron Age" (PID2023-150349NB-I00), directed by PI Mireia López-Bertrán, within the "Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento" program within the framework of the 2021-2023 State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (CPI-24-515).
In her archaeological field, he has been part of several academic and professional projects throughout the Valencian territory in excavations of several sites such as the Medieval Village of Ifach (Calp), the Iberian sanctuary of Tossal de la Malladeta (Vilajoyosa), the Roman ovens of Rascanya (Llíria), the ancient visigoth city of Valencia la Vella (Riba-roja de Túria), Mas de Fabra (Benicarló), among others; in addition, he has also participated in prospecting days at sites such as Kelin (Caudete de las Fuentes, Requena), the Sima de l'Aigua (Carcaixent) and the Serra de les Raboses (Cullera). At an international level, during his time in Mexico he collaborated in different scientific initiatives such as the “Teuchitlán Archaeological Project” of the “Phil Weigand” Interpretive Center in Guachimontones (State of Jalisco) and in several prospecting days within the “Meyuca Archaeological Project” in the Coatepec-Harinas Region (State of Mexico). In 2022, he participated in an international excavation campaign at the Djebel Mergueb site (Carthage, Tunisia), directed by Dr. Iván Fumadó Ortega (Universitat de València, Ministry of Science and Innovation and Palarq Foundation). More recently, in 2024 he was part of the excavation team of the “Insula VII 4 Project in Pompeii” (Naples, Italy), directed by Dr. Cristoph Baier (Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften, Österreichisches Archäologisches, Arbeitsgruppe Historische Archäologie im Mittelmeerraum (23550D).
His main research concerns the pottery technology and technical gestures of vascular ceramics and choroplasty of Iberian chronology. This research activity is combined with collaboration in research projects such as "QartLand: Economic landscapes and territorial organization from the Punic period to Romanization. Comparative study between the areas of Carthage (Tunisia) and those of Arse/Sagunto and Sucro" (PID2022-139214NB-I00) and with the archaeological study of the Iberian settlements of Pico de los Ajos (Yátova, Valencia) and El Castellar (Casinos, Valencia), where he has been a member of their research teams since 2017 and 2019, respectively.
He is a member of the Arsmaya research group (GIUV2013-09), led by Cristina Vidal (University of Valencia), where he also participates in several Teaching Innovation Projects.
