Doctor and professor specialized in Urban Geography, population, and Tourism, with an academic trajectory marked by the analysis of contemporary territorial transformations. He holds a degree in Geography from the University of Valencia and has completed his training with a Master's degree in Techniques for Environmental and Territorial Management and a doctoral program in Local Development and International Cooperation, culminating in his doctoral thesis: “Cartographies of touristification. A methodology for the analysis of tourist pressure on the cities of Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, and Valencia (2000-2020)” (2025).
His research has been consolidated around the study of touristification and its socio-territorial impacts, a line of work he has developed through numerous publications in national and international impact journals and books. In his work, he highlights the use of advanced methodologies for detecting saturated spaces and the comparative analysis of the impact of Tourist Use Dwellings (VUT) in intermediate cities and capitals.
